PREFACE

The Law. When that word is uttered in the context of Abrahamic belief systems, guards instantly go up; understandably so. Between the three major monotheisms, confusion doesn’t even begin to sum up the issues and differences that have caused the fractures we see between them all today.

Interestingly, though, the Torah (Law, or more precisely, instruction/direction) is at the root of not only Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, but also (in fragmented form) in other Middle Eastern and Near Eastern belief systems. I don’t say this as though it isn’t and hasn’t been common knowledge for quite some time. I draw attention to it for reasons I will expound upon below.

First, though, I need to be clear about something. This  isn’t an exhaustive breakdown of all the places the Torah (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) can be found in antiquity. 

The above said, I will briefly note that the basic creation myth sequence from Genesis (vast darkness, primordial waters, words are spoken by supreme being(s), land appears, and then is shaped by said God(s)) is found  in Mesopotamian, Phoenician/Canaanite, Vedic, and, perhaps surprisingly, Mesoamerican Cosmologies. Moreover, the Ten Commandments, or rather similar guidelines, are found in the 42 Negative Confessions from the Egyptian Book of the Dead and in the Babylonian Code of Hammurabi.

Before you go thinking I’m trying to muddy the waters as atheists do, I’m not. I’m simply stating  the fact that these similarities cannot, and must not be ignored by those who choose to believe in The Most High Elohim (Yahuah). Because doing so leaves one at the mercy of people who use that knowledge in an attempt to destroy believers’ spirits and introduce secular and pagan views into their minds. This, along with the many paths of confusion that exist today, is why I pulled the Codex SonVeganus from the winds of the hyperplane.

Prior to crossing your current boundaries of belief, though, allow me to fulfill my above-mentioned promise to expound upon my reasoning for mentioning the fractured source-code of the Law spread around in different cultures. Please note that, unless stated otherwise, the biblical citations in this book come from the LXX (Lexham English Septuagint) and from the Ethiopian Bible (Orthodox Tewahedo Biblical Canon).

From our view as believers and adherents of the Torah, the fact that it appears in the belief systems of so many other cultures should come as no surprise to us. 

For one, Noah, whose story also has several variations in other religions, was a faithful keeper of the path. After the first documented destruction of mankind’s structures and establishing of the new meta, Noah taught all of his sons (Shem, Khem, Yapheth, and their children) according to the upright ways. “And God spoke to Noah AND his sons with him saying, ‘Look, I am establishing my covenant with you and your seed after you..’ ” (Gen. 9:8). “And in the twenty-eighth jubilee Noah began to enjoin upon his SONS’ sons the ordinances and commandments, and all the judgements that he knew, and he exhorted his sons to observe righteousness, and to cover the shame of their flesh, and to bless their Creator, and honor father and mother, and love their neighbor, and guard their souls from fornication and uncleanness and all iniquity.” (Jub. 7:20)

To add, the spirit of Wisdom, which is the manifestation of the Torah (Sirach 24:23, Baruch 3:22-28, Baruch 4:1, Deut. 4:5-6), was given to all nations: “In the waves of the sea and in all the earth and among every people and nation, I have acquired a possession” (Sirach 24:6).

One last note about the Law before moving forward. I am aware that what we call the Torah today was not considered by some to be established until it was given to Moses during the Exodus. However, careful examination of the scriptures before Moses’ time reveals the upright teachings were always in effect in some form or another: Cain and Abel’s sacrifices (Gen. 4:3-5); Noah’s sorting system of clean and unclean animals (Gen.7:2); Noah’s dietary restriction (Gen. 9:4); Joseph calls adultery a sin (Gen. 39:9). With this information, we can authoritatively conclude that the laws were re-given to Moses with anti-Egyptian practice configurations. 

Now, before explaining what the Codex SonVeganus is, let me say clearly  what it isn’t. This is not an add-on to the Torah (which is forbidden). It does not attempt to add on the books of the rest of the Old Testament, New Testament, or Apocrypha. The books of this codex are designed to give you, the believer, a framework with which you can view the world and the scriptures through the lens of Torah observance. 

To be concise, Book I:  The Wind and the Rose, is meant to be a guide you can use to view the Torah with regard to yourself, and your own edification when reading The Most High’s commands. Book II: Tenets of the Duelsman is your weapon of defense and attack when secularists or sorcerers come to challenge and/or deceive you. And they will come.

If the ancient words of scripture are your assault rifle, the Codex SonVeganus is a sidearm. And if you’re wondering why I have framed these tools as weapons, it is because they are. The ancient texts describe righteous principles as weapons. (Wisdom of Solomon 5:17- 20) As you begin to lift the wool pulled over your eyes by society through the study and application of hyperplane wind (my name for the Torah), you will learn to view these tools in the same manner. Now, come walk with me and we will face the world of reality together.
